President Bush announces seven additional countries to enter the U.S. on the Visa Waiver Program

On October 17, President Bush announced the expansion of the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) to include the
Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, the Republic of Korea and the Slovak Republic to allow citizens of these countries to travel to the
United States for 90 days or less without a visa starting November 17, 2008. The United States must still complete certain internal steps required
by statute before it can complete VWP expansion. Nationals of each country above continue to require visas to travel to the United States until these
