As we informed our clients previously, the H-1B Reform Bill provides an additional 20,000 H-1B visas for individuals who hold a master's degree or higher from a U.S. institution. These 20,000 visas become available on March 8, 2005. We have recently learned that it is likely these 20,000 H-1Bs will be used up the first date they become available. Therefore, if you have an employee or prospective employee who holds a master's degree and would like to sponsor him or her for H-1B, please contact our office immediately. We plan to file all of our cases of this type on March 7, 2005.
