In a notice published yesterday, the Department of Homeland Security (DOH) announced that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services filing fees for most applications and petitions will be increased by an average of $10 per form. Citing inflation as the reason for the increase, it said the fee increase will take effect on October 26, 2005, and will apply to petitions or applications filed on or after that date.
