Scope of Services, Experience and Goals

In the changing world economy, it is essential that companies be able to recruit and retain the most qualified employees. No longer can an employer rely solely on the domestic labor supply to increase its knowledge and skill base. We believe that a law firm should provide timely, efficient, and effective representation to its clients. We aim to tailor our services to the particular needs of our clients by preparing the most appropriate temporary and permanent work authorization applications. Our attorneys assist employers with immigration planning, providing realistic time-lines and cost estimates, from the initial evaluation of prospective employees to retention on a permanent basis.

But our services do not end with filing an application. We continue to assert our client's interests before the U.S. Departments of Justice, State, and Labor until a final decision is made. Proper immigration planning must include an evaluation of options, contingencies, and the background of the company and employee involved. Each area of immigration law has a dynamic impact on others and all areas must be considered in the immigration plan. Thus, Fallon, Bixby, Cheng & Lee's immigration experience is not limited to work permits, but includes visas to facilitate international trade, investment, and education, family and church-sponsored permanent residence, citizenship and naturalization, and others. Further, our six attorneys and nine legal assistants and paralegals work in teams depending on type of application, areas of special experience, and language needs (we provide translation and interpretation services in six foreign languages).
